Ashley Steinberg

Ashley is the head of strategic initiatives at 137 Ventures, where she helps the firm's portfolio companies navigate public policy challenges at the federal, state, and local levels. Previously, she served as the head of legal for The Boring Company, joining as its first lawyer and handling legal, regulatory, and compliance matters as well as several key operational and business development functions. Earlier in her career, she worked in the International Trade and Investment group at a Washington, D.C. law firm, advising clients from a range of industries on U.S. economic sanctions against Iran, Russia, Cuba, Syria, and North Korea, as well as on anti-money laundering / counterterrorist financing laws, CFIUS review, and tariff policy. Ashley graduated from the University of Pennsylvania summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and received her JD from Stanford Law School.
